The government of Pakistan has strictly banned the export of Anti-Malaria medicines with immediate effect, the ministry of commerce stated on Friday. The Ban was imposed on the recommendation of the National Coordination Committee. The ministry said the ban will stay still in effect until further orders of the NCC. On Friday morning, the ministry removed the ban on the import of anti-malaria medicine over strong fears of a shortage across the country.
Now you all must be wondering why we are discussing these anti-malaria medicines. Because these anti-malaria medicines have proved to be beneficial in treating coronavirus patients. The country is already facing a shortage of N-95 face masks which is the only mask that can prevent from containing the virus because of inadequate government policies. The government cannot risk it anymore. Up till now 65 people have died within a few days due to coronavirus in Pakistan.
If you can get your hands on anti-malaria medicines, then you should keep some in stock as the government of Pakistan would be imposing strict curfews in upcoming weeks.
